Study on the Equivalence Verification of Post-impact Compression Standard of Fiber Composites

摘要

Sensitivity to damage produced by external forces on the focused surface is an important factor to consider when designing advanced composite laminate structures. This paper takes domestic T700 carbon fiber reinforced composites as the research object, and compares and analyzes the impact damage impedance test standard ASTM D7136 and the post-impact compression test standards GB/T 21239, ASTM D7137, ISO 18352, and HB 6739 from the aspects of scope of application, principle, equipment requirements, specimen size and test results, and conducts post-impact compression comparison test and statistical analysis of results to evaluate the standards’ validity and equivalence, a post-impact compression comparison test and statistical analysis were performed. The results show that: HB 6739 is not equivalent to the remaining three compression standards; ASTM D7137, GB/T 21239, and ISO 18352 can produce valid results, and the deviation of the average value of compression strength ranges from 1.25% to 4.07%, with a small difference in performance, but ISO 18352's reliability is lower; ASTM D7137 and GB/T 21239 can be equated, and the former can be equivalent to the latter. ASTM D7137 and GB/T 21239 can be equal, but the former is more stringent and careful in terms of equipment, operation, and result processing, therefore adoption should be prioritized.
