摘要
Defecography is a test that a viscous contrast agent is injected into the rectum, the subject is forced to perform excretion movements, and still images or videos are taken at rest, squeeze, and strain to examine defecation dynamics in a functional and morphological manner. The purpose of defecography and examination techniques is explained. The endpoints were anorectal angle, puborectal muscle length, pelvic descent, presence and size of rectocele, and expulsion rate. The pathologies that are revealed with this examination include levator ani syndrome, rectocele, rectal prolapse, rectal mucosal prolapse, and perineal descent.
