Analysis of Forces That Drive the Medical Development in the Pre-Qin Period and Han Dynasty
摘要
The development of a branch of knowledge, in general, depends on both internal and external forces and their interaction. Internal forces stem from human intelligence and the desire for exploration and the pursuit of truth. They manifest in two aspects of understanding and utilizing nature. Understanding nature entails the continual introduction of explanatory viewpoints and the gradual construction of explanatory systems, such as science, discovery, theory, and doctrine.
