Differences Between the East and West in Ancient China: The Inheritance of Medical Knowledge From Six States

When it comes to the inheritance of medical knowledge in the Han Dynasty (202 BC–AD 220), it should be noted that besides the culture and medicine of the Qin Dynasty, those vassal states and regions annexed by Qin should also be taken into account. While political regimes may change, cultures persist through time, and this is particularly evident in the case of medicine, which is a practical skill rooted in experience and transmission.
