On the Development Platforms and Services for Quantum Machine Learning: A Comparative Study

Quantum Computing is a promising field of research and development in the field of computer science, with its potential for overtaking the performance parameters of conventional computer systems. At the same time, Machine Learning and its applications are deeply rooted in the modern world, helping to automate and optimise many tasks, improving the quality and scope of services available. Utilising the potential of quantum computing to accelerate and optimise machine learning and artificial intelligence, there are opportunities for development of quantum computing and quantum machine learning algorithms. Various cloud computing platforms and tools are available to facilitate this development, whether it be academic or commercial, such as IBM Quantum, Microsoft Azure Quantum, Google Quantum AI, Amazon Braket and PennyLane. This paper aims to detail their key features and advantages, and present a clear description of their potential in the field of quantum machine learning.
