Fieldwork Narrative
摘要
From this chapter onwards, we will introduce the theories and methods for analyzing the data collected in fieldwork. Modern fieldworkers share a basic consensus that fieldwork is not only about data collection but also about the preliminary construction of theories. Every day in the field is different. Fieldworkers face their field relations daily, leading to endless associations. They collect varying degrees of local data each day, experiencing various successes and anxieties about potential failures. They reflect on their self-image daily, striving to reduce subjective biases that might interfere with assessing the behaviors of other cultures.
