Organising Material of Fieldwork
摘要
The culture of “the other” refers to the social and cultural phenomena formed by a nation or a certain class group over a long historical period. It mostly belongs to the realm of oral cultural products, existing in a non-official, subordinate position, and its existence is often fragile and easily disrupted. Fieldworkers need to conduct thorough, on-the-ground investigations and collections, considering the objective realities of social and historical development. Guided by scientific theories and methods, they must accumulate a large amount of raw data to gradually identify its features. The ideological content and cultural value of this culture often become the most stable, fundamental, and representative parts of the national culture. It is a special kind of spiritual wealth.
