Equalization of Care and Regional Cooperation in Clinical Practice for Hereditary Tumors Using Public Data
摘要
The fourth Basic Plan to Promote Cancer Control Programs states: “In addition to equalizing, promote consolidation per the specific conditions present in each region through role sharing and collaboration between designated cancer care hospitals.” Against this policy background, the present study examined how BRCA1/2 genetic testing and the treatment for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC), as a representative model for hereditary tumor management in Japan, should be equalized and consolidated within the framework of public health insurance practices.
