Loss of muscle mass after gastrectomy has a negative impact on the continuation of S-1 adjuvant chemotherapy and may also affect prognosis, but various oral nutritional supplements (ONS) have been administered to patients after gastrectomy to prevent muscle loss. However, there are problems with compliance, and the efficacy of ONS is poor. We will discuss the problems of amino acid administration after gastrectomy and examine methods for effectively administering amino acids after gastrectomy.
