Fertility Management
摘要
In recent years, fertility preservation technology has improved remarkably, and not only sperm, oocyte, and embryo cryopreservation, but also ovarian tissue cryopreservation is becoming a common medical treatment. In order to efficiently provide this technology to patients, large organizations have been established to address fertility preservation, such as the ISFP (International Society for Fertility Preservation) and FertiPROTEKT in Europe and Oncofertility Consortium in the United States. Their activities include not only the medical aspect of fertility preservation, such as the creation of a system that facilitates the provision of fertility preservation to patients by consolidating at large facilities, but also the development of guidelines and the holding of symposiums. Fertility preservation is becoming popular in many Asian countries. The ASFP was established in 2015 by experts from 14 countries. In Japan, many activities, including nationwide educational campaigns, have resulted in the establishment of a nationwide registration system and government subsidies. This chapter will introduce a wide range of initiatives from various countries and organizations as well as efforts in Japan.
