Conceptual, Philosophical, and Theoretical Foundations of Ecological Sustainability
摘要
In this chapter, the framework of ecological sustainability is defined and the need for ecological sustainability in the tourism sector is examined. Ecological sustainability is the way to pass on natural resources and the environment to future generations without damaging them. The failure to change economic development patterns in the world and the damage it causes to the ecological environment have made the urgent transition to sustainability essential. Ecological sustainability, which focuses on protecting the health and balance of ecosystems and biodiversity, includes practices that ensure the long-term viability of natural systems and prevent habitat degradation. Since tourismTourism is among the sectors that threaten sustainable developmentSustainable development, it is an area where ecological sustainability practices are important. Strategic plans in tourism, green marketing practices, sustainable green supply chains, ecotours, ecovillages, and ecosystems are accepted as important tools in positioning and developing ecological sustainability at the sectoral level.
