Challenges in Operation and Management of DRT Systems, Retrospective, New Developments, and Prospects
摘要
This chapter proposes a general framework for the operation and management of Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) systems, delineating the interactions among four core stakeholders: passengers, operators, government, and the evaluation system. It provides a systematic review of key research problems within this framework. On the supply side, issues span macro-level goals like equity and emissions, to micro-level operational strategies and scheduling. On the demand side, topics include user identification, demand forecasting, and loyalty. The review also covers evaluation methods and governmental roles. The synthesis underscores that understanding these interconnected elements is vital for designing efficient and sustainable DRT systems.
