Project Management—A Win–Win Paradigm
摘要
There are four outcomes in client-contractor relationships: win–win, win–lose, lose–win, and lose–lose. Effective project managers and teams are characterized by leadership, clear goal setting, collaboration, and trust. Is there a possibility of a “win–win” paradigm in project management, for mutual benefit for both clients and contractors? The compromise is the next best when win–win is not immediately achievable. The persistent challenges of cost and time overruns in projects, particularly in developing countries, and underscores the negative impacts of delays on public convenience and organizational credibility are to be examined critically. Practical strategies for achieving early project completion, managing interfaces and adapting to changes can change the scenario for better. A win–win approach, supported by organizational culture and continuous improvement, is vital for sustainable project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
