摘要

Many international businesses establish operations abroad to better their productivity and efficiency. Most foreign companies face significant difficulties while establishing in foreign countries due to unfamiliarity with regulatory policies and changing market conditions and the Philippines is no exception. While it is a land of opportunity for some, many foreigners find it hard to adapt to the cultural differences of doing business in the Philippines. This study examines the experiences of international corporations with established manufacturing plants in the Philippines and identifies the key factors that contribute to their success as well as the key cultural challenges they must overcome. The Philippines offers an ideal location for these manufacturing operations due to its skilled workforce, cost-effectiveness, and strategic geographical positioning. Through analyzing secondary sources and conducting interviews with business leaders in the Philippines, this study captures real-time and real-world insights while highlighting the advantages of international manufacturing. The insights gained from this research will aid international business leaders considering outsourcing or establishing overseas operations by demonstrating the potential benefits and strategies to foster success.
