摘要

Effective communication is essential for allied health science students, directly influencing overall healthcare outcomes. With the advancement of educational technology, various digital tools and facilities have emerged as effective means to enhance communication training in healthcare education. This study aims to identify the technological facilities needed to improve Allied Health Science students’ communicative activities and assess their current accessibility and utilization. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was adopted for this study. A structured questionnaire is developed to assess students’ perceptions of the role of technology in communication. The study sample comprised 36 undergraduate allied health science students from various specializations. The methodology of the study adopts a random sampling method to ensure diverse participation from the first year. Data were collected through an online survey platform. Descriptive statistical analyses were conducted to identify trends, correlations, and significant differences in students’ responses. The results were analyzed using SPSS software to identify technological challenges. The findings of this study provide valuable insights into the technological gaps in communication for allied health science students. The results will inform educators integrating advanced digital tools, such as AI-driven language learning, virtual patient simulations, telemedicine training, and interactive digital platforms, to enhance communication skills.
