Tips on Effective Theory and Practice of Genetic Programming
摘要
We provide practical adviceBiologyfor researchers and engineers who are designing, building, or even just using genetic programming (GP) systems, and want to communicate their results effectively to the research community. We include a series of tips for constructing and debugging these systems, as well as for conducting experiments both to test hypotheses (theory) and for finding the highest quality solutions possible (practice). Finally, we also include tips for making your code and results available to the rest of the GP community. Our goal is not to provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to build a GP system or run a evolutionary experiment, but merely to suggest guidelines that are likely to help someone refine a general plan that they already have in place.
