The electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) is an important carrier for the low-altitude economy with vast market prospects due to its environmental friendliness and low requirements for take-off and landing sites. To ensure flight safety, flight simulators specifically designed for eVTOL will become an indispensable tool in its development and testing process. The fidelity of flight simulators greatly depends on the platform’s washout algorithm. By leveraging the advantages of constraint handling in model predictive control (MPC) method, a washout algorithm based on MPC has been developed. Simulation experiments were carried out using the typical eVTOL flight scenario of forward transition. The results show that the MPC-based washout algorithm improves motion cueing effectiveness and offers good adjustment flexibility. This demonstrates the potential of applying the MPC-based method to the washout algorithm designed for eVTOL flight simulators.

摘要
