Connecting Asian Geographies: Transport and Infrastructure Networks in Yunnan
摘要
The chapter discusses how Yunnan, located on the southwest border of China, has transformed into a pivotal region connecting Southeast and South Asia. This transformation has been achieved by implementing policies that significantly benefit regional development. In addition to establishing new transport and infrastructure networks, Yunnan has introduced preferential policies to enhance trade, investment, financial cooperation, and cultural exchanges among neighbouring economies. These investment and financial partnerships have synergized and transformed these peripheries into a harmonious development zone for mutual trade and friendly exchanges.
