This chapter details the approaches used to examine disputants’ discursive self-presentation through evaluative meaning-making. The chapter highlights include a comprehensive registerial description of the family mediation register, solutions for transforming conversational data into structured computer-readable formats, and the identification of ‘attitude signal’ for systematically recording attitudinal ostensions. The chapter also proposes a workflow for integrated human-computer data processing that maintains linguistic nuance while enabling large-scale semantics-oriented discourse analysis.
