Creative Education and Cultural Works for Freedom, Social Change and Transformation of Consciousness: Chitta Ranjan Das, Paulo Freire, and Alternative Planetary Futures
摘要
In my study, I deal with aspects of the thought of Paulo Freire and of the thought of Chitta Ranjan Das. I concentrate my attention on Paulo Freire’s inquiry into the strategy which the oppressors adopt in order to destroy the personality and the autonomy of the oppressed people. Freire’s investigation into the banking concept of education belongs to the central subjects of my study. I then direct my attention to Chitta Ranjan Das’s interpretation of language as an instrument of marginalisation of groups and to his analysis of the strategy which the colonising power follows in order to create a class in the colonised people which spread the culture of the colonising people. The final part of my study is dedicated to Chitta Ranjan Das’s concept of the integral education.
