Climate change is one of the biggest challenges in this era that not only threaten livelihoods but also security of human being. Nepal is a country highly vulnerable to climate-induced disasters such as floods, landslides, and droughts. Therefore, timely and effective risk communication play a significant role in building and enhancing disaster resilience. However, existing methods of risk communication often overlook gender dynamics, consequently women, disabled, and marginalized groups are being disproportionately impacted by climate-related extreme events and disasters. Effective risk communication is imperative for developing gender-responsive disaster risk resilience strategies. This paper examines how improving climate change risk communication can promote gender-sensitive disaster risk resilience strategies in Nepal. Research starts with literature review following the online survey with respective stakeholders and practitioners to know the perception on climate-induced disasters and risk communication. Then perception index and index on agreement were calculated to analyze the perception on climate risk. This research explores the climate change-induced disasters, existing climate change risk communication in Nepal, identifies gaps, and proposes strategies to enhance communication efforts to ensure they are inclusive and gender-responsive. It shed the lights on significance of incorporating gender considerations into risk communication frameworks, ensuring that every community member, irrespective of gender or social status, have equitable access to information and resources. Additionally, this research also provides practical recommendations for stakeholders, policymakers and practitioners to strengthen inclusive and participatory approaches to climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
