Study of Improving Surface Smoothness in 3D Printed ABS Material by Temperature and Acetone Vapor

Currently, the 3D printing industry has many models and sizes that can produce many pieces, depending on the use and needs of the manufacturer. Printed parts made from ABS, commonly found in everyday life, such as medical devices and automotive parts, tend to have rough and uneven surfaces. Therefore, the surface of the workpiece is improved by using acetone vapor for treatment to get a smooth surface. So, acetone treatment at normal temperature depends on the amount of acetone and takes a long time to treat to get a smooth surface. Therefore, it can be seen that the acetone treatment time was too long. Also is there another way to reduce the working time to increase the production of smooth surface parts in large quantities but in less time? The changes occurring on the surface of the workpiece will be observed, and the smoothness and roughness of the surface will be checked to see how much they have changed, and the parameters will be checked to determine acceptable results.
