The growing recognition of Global Englishes (GE) in English Language Teaching (ELT) has sparked increasing interest in integrating its principles into language classrooms. Global Englishes (GE) is an umbrella term encompassing World Englishes (WE), English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), and English as an International Language (EIL). These frameworks acknowledge and value the diverse forms of English, including the interlanguages of non-native speakers. This perspective holds significant educational value for English learners, as it alleviates the pressure to conform strictly to native speaker norms, thereby promoting a more active and relaxed approach to language learning. This chapter first explores the theoretical foundations and key issues surrounding GE. It then examines practical strategies for incorporating GE into language classrooms without disrupting existing teaching methods. Topics include raising awareness of GE, classroom activities, curriculum development, and assessment approaches that align with GE principles. Finally, the chapter discusses the future of GE, with a special focus on its evolving relationship with artificial intelligence (AI) in language education.
