The purpose of the study is to investigate a relatively under-researched area, namely the activities of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and their expected impact on economic entities and public authorities. The opportunities the European Digital Innovation Hubs network provides to the public sector and companies are examined. Technological specialization and the creation of an innovation ecosystem are key to the development of each region. By implementing interventions that support digital transformation, European policy facilitates the creation of EDIHs. These hubs aim to enhance competitiveness through knowledge sharing, technology transfer, and capacity building in the context of the digital transition. The study presents data on the geographical distribution, funding mechanisms, and technological focus of the hubs, while also addressing future challenges related to their operation. A dual-method approach has been applied: thematic analysis and statistical interpretation using secondary data. On this basis, key insights are offered about the role of EDIHs in the digital transformation process.

摘要
