Thus, technology fundamentally changes the educational process, helping to develop digital skills and collaborate and assess in real time. The emergence of Artificial Intelligence, as a factor of progress and as a tool for optimizing the educational process, manifests itself as a social catalyst. Facial recognition appears in this context as part of the digitalization of educational processes, with the ability to automate activities such as attendance tracking, access control and personalization of the educational experience. The purpose of this paper is to examine how facial recognition can be used in educational systems to help digitize and streamline administrative procedures. The development of a digital attendance system based on facial recognition is the practical part of the paper. This system will allow for automatic student identification, data centralization, and interactive attendance visualization.
