This chapter provides an outline of the imaging anatomy of the temporal bone from two perspectives. The first part of the chapter presents the imaging anatomy of the individual structures of the external, middle and inner ear and the internal auditory canal as seen on different imaging modalities. The second part provides an atlas of imaging anatomy in standard imaging planes encountered in HRCT and MRI of the temporal bones.
