Conceptual Design of an Automatic Catfish Feeding System Based on Microcontroller-Arduino Uno
摘要
Technological developments aim to overcome problems in various ways, including in catfish cultivation in Lubok Batee Village, Aceh. Catfish cultivation is the livelihood of the majority of residents in this village. However, in this cultivation there are several problems faced by farmers, such as delays in feeding fish, fish not getting the right portion of feed, and feed ending up as waste because it is not eaten. The aim of this research is to develop an automatic feeding system to help optimize catfish cultivation in order to overcome the problems faced. The automatic feeding system was designed using a conceptual design method to increase efficiency, reduce human error, and pay attention to fish diet in order to increase productivity and add value to catfish farming. This system is designed using Arduino Uno components, dynamo, servo motor, relay, and Arduino IDE software. The results of this research are technical drawings of an automatic fish feeding system and programming logic on a microcontroller that can be connected to the feeding system, so that it can identify fish feeding schedules through sound sensors produced by the fish. This design and programming logic can be a reference for technology developers to create automatic fish feeding system products to help fish farmers increase their business productivity.
