摘要

The purpose of this experiment is to utilize a mixed extract of cassava leaves and red dragon fruit as a dye base for fabricating dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) and to evaluate the impact of peak-hour sessions on DSSC performance. The Global Solar Atlas software was used to determine peak sun hours. A 2.5 × 2.5 cm FTO glass was used as a layer for sandwich DSSC fabrication. The electrolyte solution was prepared using a mixture of potassium iodide, iodine, and acetonitrile. Characterization of electric current and voltage was conducted over 7 days to ensure consistent results. The findings indicate that the dye, composed of 10 mL of cassava leaf extract and 20 mL of red dragon fruit extract, exhibits the highest absorption value, surpassing 1.2% at a wavelength of 512 nm compared to other dye combinations. The use of a combined dye made from cassava leaf and red dragon fruit extracts enhances DSSC efficiency, achieved by blending them in an optimal 1:2 ratio of cassava leaf extract to red dragon fruit extract, respectively.
