摘要

The AP-N process is a method that recycles nitrogen and is used in small-sized floating plant that produce liquefied natural gas (LNG). Its working fluid—in this case, Nitrogen (N2), a nonflammable refrigerant, was previously simulated in an open-sourced DWSIM. Involved in compressing, and expanding, depending on the part of the chemical constituents, the refrigerant, and gas-liquid phases, the state-of-the-art of the system is showed, including thermodynamic and economic points of views. The Total Revenue Requirement (TRR) is calculated based on the estimated fixed-capital investment (FCI) and the assumptions made for economic, financial, operating, and market input variables. The comparison is made technically with an existing PRICO-type plant process due to similarities in multiple design criteria. The total Purchased Equipment Cost (PEC) for the AP-N is 400.30 (106 $) with several specific components highlighted of importance.
