The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) presents a transformative opportunity to enhance climate resilience and environmental sustainability. India’s vast repository of traditional ecological wisdom including Ayurveda, Yoga and other indigenous sciences holds valuable insights for contemporary environmental challenges. However, much of this knowledge remains underutilized due to the absence of structured digital frameworks and integration with modern technology. This research explores AI’s role in digitizing and optimizing IKS to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). The study examines the role of artificial intelligence in the digitization and optimization of Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) to facilitate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). It assesses the capabilities of the AI-driven application, ChatGPT, in interpreting ancient texts, extracting ecological wisdom, and formulating a scalable model for the synthesis of heritage and technological innovation. This study employs a qualitative approach and reviews ancient texts and identifies key areas where AI can contribute to ecological wisdom and sustainability. As climate challenges intensify, the synergy between AI and IKS offers a culturally rooted, scientifically validated framework for global sustainability. This paper proposes AI-driven model to digitize, preserve and apply traditional Indian knowledge to foster environmental resilience and sustainable development.

摘要
