Automation scripts are a critical component of today’s software testing and development, web applications, business management and organizational flows. This paper includes findings from the current studies using natural language processing (NLP), artificial intelligence (AI), and robotic process automation (RPA) to tackle the problem of paving through the increasing volume of data and minimizing mistakes in the routine operations. Few of these innovations include the development of intelligent test case generation, that is the widespread adoption of cloud-based test automation solutions for extensive testing and the incorporation of such security testing tools such as BurpSuite for web application testing. Similarly, automation is influencing the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline through streamlining of the testing and deployment processes. In the world of business, RPA is causing improvements by enabling automation which reduces the amount of manual work being done. The graphical user interface testing is also being made possible by script-less automation tools, whereby ordinary users can also contribute in the automation process. This paper provides a general outlook on the role and development of automation scripting in different fields focusing on its important role in increasing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in technical and business areas.
