This study presents a complete investigation of crop residue burning by re-mote sensing techniques. As we know that India is the biggest cultivation for rice and wheat, which leaves the massive residue behind. The major burning practice have been witnessed in Punjab followed by Haryana, UP and Bihar. The farmer follows the residue burning practice which was found in 1950s and became the trend in early 1990s. There were few reasons due to which farmers are indulge into this burning practice first lack of awareness which leads environmental degradation, second affordability as it is very costly to remove the residue from the land and another reason is enforcement issue as government is not making an eye-catching policy as well as it involves man-power. This research is done as complete bifurcation for both the farmer as well as from government ends. The farmer practices this residue burning deliberately so there should be strict action taken by the central government. As these activities should be restricted for all types of farmers. The research also involves that how the satellite can catch the burnt land under various circum-stances by the help of various parameter. Farmers should be aware of the consequences of all these practices done as it is a very big issue for our environment.

摘要
