A Multi-terminal Synchronous Immersive Medical Simulation System Supported by 5G Edge Computing

With the rapid development of virtual reality technology, immersive virtual reality technology is widely used in the medical field. The use of immersive virtual reality technology for virtual medical system simulation development can provide skill training for doctors. Based on virtual reality technology, this article constructs a detailed model and realistic physical simulation, and constructs a complete virtual medical environment including surgical scenes, organ models, and surgical instruments, realizing the entire process of the virtual medical training system. In order to verify the effectiveness of the system, this article conducts system validation based on the Unity platform combined with HTC Vive helmet. The experimental results show that the system can provide doctors with an immersive experience and complete interaction capabilities, quickly improving interns’ mastery of medical surgical equipment use and medical surgical procedures.
