Transforming Streetscapes: Investigating the Adaptive Change in Characteristics of Malioboro’s Heritage Corridor (2015–2023)
摘要
Malioboro Street in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is known for its blend of traditional and modern characteristics. This research aims to examine the changes in the streetscape’s attributes, exploring how the heritage corridor has changed in response to urban development and dynamics. The study seeks to uncover the processes that have shaped Malioboro’s streetscape through historical records and field surveys. Through the use of Google Street View data from 2015 to 2023, researchers will be able to analyze changes at regular intervals to understand the adaptive transformation of this heritage corridor. The results can show how restoration efforts have affected the traditional elements of the streetscape and the accessibility of Malioboro Street. This analysis will help us understand how heritage corridors adapt and provide insights for future urban planning and conservation efforts in similar contexts.
