摘要

The quarantine experience during the Covid-19 pandemic has made residential homes have different meanings in the eyes of the society. Nowadays, homes no longer only functioned to accommodate residents’ activities, but also expected to be able to support their health, both physical and mentally. Healthy housing has recently become an issue for housing in urban areas and a priority for sustainable and resilient residential design. The purpose of this study was to determine respondents’ preferences on healthy housing based on respondents’ choices in priority scales for healthy housing indicators that supported their physical and mental health. The healthy housing indicators used in this research were: housing characteristics, indoor area, environmental factors, and outdoor area. This research was aimed at urban workers who lived on landed housing in one of the urban areas in Indonesia, namely, the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. This quantitative study used an online survey questionnaire to collect data. Data analysis compared the pattern of respondents’ answers regarding the priority scale for all healthy housing indicators and identified which indicators became their priorities. The results of the study showed that residents mostly chose environmental factors as their first priority in healthy housing, followed by physical aspects of indoor area. The results of this research could help stakeholders in Indonesia and other parts of the world to improve sustainable housing development programs and increase the quality of life of residents in the future.
