摘要

Public transportation infrastructures and services, especially the hubs/terminals, need to be developed to support a livable city. Tugu Station, the largest train station in Yogyakarta Province, is located in the city center to provide good accessibility. As a large station, Tugu Station has attracted unpleasant perceptions from the public regarding its accessibility and the quality of its infrastructures. This research aims to identify problems in Tugu Station related to the circulation system, accessibility, connectivity and integration with the surrounding environment, hence measuring how far Tugu Station supports a livable city. Primary and secondary data were collected qualitatively to gain understanding of users’ experience, which later is compared with parameters related to intermodal quality. Data is analyzed in terms of spatial layout, 3D, and schemes to draw conclusions about problems in Tugu Station. The findings revealed there was a lack of intermodal quality at Tugu Station in terms of accessibility integration parameters. Alternative design ideas are provided as input to improve the quality of intermodal in the future.
