Addressing Affordable Housing Challenges in Jakarta TODs Area: A Case Study Analysis

This research paper investigates affordable housing dynamics within Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) areas in Jakarta, Indonesia. Employing a case study methodology, the study delves into the multifaceted challenges impeding the provision of affordable housing in TOD zones, examining factors such as rapid urbanization, land scarcity, and socio-economic disparities. Through in-depth analysis, it elucidates the interplay between government policies, private sector involvement, and community needs, shedding light on the effectiveness of current strategies and their implications for equitable urban development. Drawing insights from TOD implementation, the paper proposes actionable recommendations to enhance the accessibility and affordability of housing in Jakarta’s TOD areas.
