Characteristics and Control Strategies of Embedded HVDC in Receiving-End Power Grid
摘要
To address the reverse distribution of energy resources and loads, as well as the continuous growth in electricity supply and demand, embedded high voltage direct current (HVDC) systems have emerged as a practical solution. As a representative regional power grid in China, the Jiangsu power system not only accommodates multiple HVDC in-feeds but also hosts the first embedded HVDC project in China. In this context, this paper develops a receiving-end power system model with embedded HVDC transmission. The interaction between embedded HVDC and external HVDC transmission is analyzed, and a commutation failure mitigation strategy based on extinction angle compensation is proposed. Simulation results verify the mutual influence between HVDC systems and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
