摘要

In the context of BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, and Incomprehensible) times, eco-innovation emerges as a critical mechanism for advancing sustainable development in the face of escalating global uncertainties. This study investigates the complex dynamics that characterise the relationship between eco-innovation and sustainable development, aiming to contribute to understanding how innovative environmental practices can foster resilience and sustainability in an unpredictable world. The study unearths various theoretical relationships available in the existing knowledge base to theorise eco-innovation integration at organisations to achieve sustainable development. It synthesises current research to understand how eco-innovation operates as a catalyst for sustainability amidst the complexities and uncertainties of the modern world. This literature review provides a comprehensive overview of existing knowledge, identifying gaps and opportunities for future research in the arena of eco-innovation and sustainable development, ultimately emphasising the necessity of resilience and flexibility in achieving long-term sustainability.
