Habit Modifications for Myopia Control
摘要
Myopia is a rising epidemic with innumerable ocular ill effects, primarily impaired vision. Research in determining the causes of this refractive error has resulted in methods of preventing the onset and progression of myopia. Habit and lifestyle modifications from early childhood will go a long way in helping reduce myopia onset. Habit modifications consisting of regular eye examination, regularly wearing correctly prescribed glasses, improving time spent outdoors, reducing time of near work, and use of digital devices especially before sleep, improving sleep patterns, decreasing use of LED bulbs are some of the factors that will help alleviate this problem.
