The expanding human population, degradation of soil quality, climate change, and food security are the issues that have become critical concern for sustainable agriculture. In this regard, the Digital Twin (DT) is in a unique position to overcome these obstacles and can help to achieve the goals of sustainability. Though there have been a number of technical developments in agriculture recently, DT technology, because of its ability to enhance sustainability, productivity, and decision-making processes, has become an emerging technology in several industries, including agriculture. This book chapter discusses the basic architecture of digital twin and various applications in agriculture sector such as crop growth monitoring and management, pest and disease management, smart irrigation system, aquaponics, impact of climate on crops, as well as livestock management. Moreover, some case studies related to the application of this emerging technology have also been discussed. Limitations associated with this technology like cost issue and lack of proper knowledge of technique have also been covered in this chapter.
