摘要

Indian leather occupies a prominent place in the world market, exporting approximately US$4.87 billion during the period 2021–2022. India’s leather exports play a vital role in the Indian economy. This manuscript investigated the mediating effect of Export of Leather and Leather-related products of India (Exports) and the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) values on the relationship between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) made to India and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). India’s leather trade data between 2001 and 2021 (International Trade Center, 2023) has been utilized for this manuscript. Multiple (parallel) mediation model results show that exports of leather and RCA values have a mediating effect.
