摘要
The chapter provides an in-depth examination of existentialist philosophy and existential humanities and their applicability within the context of English studies, first at a broad global level, and then with specific reference to India. It seeks to define the concept of existential humanities while establishing its relevance and importance in contemporary educational settings. This chapter extends practical guidance to educators who aspire to infuse existential humanities into their English language and literature curricula, with a special focus on the Indian context. The ultimate objective is to empower students to grapple with profound questions about the human condition, their place in the world, and the choices they make, ultimately enriching their understanding of human experience and equipping them with crucial skills for personal and professional success.
