Design and Analysis of Fuzzy-Logic-Controlled Active Suspension

This research aims to highlight the applications, functions, and improvements of Fuzzy Logic Controllers, more specifically, by investigating the use of FLCs within active suspension. Investigations into the relevant markets for suspension and corresponding controllers were key to understanding the application of control within suspension systems and its evolution of its improvement within the industry. The research uses data and case studies sourced from the internet, reports, and published papers within the automotive engineering market, to effectively produce an FLC. Alongside this, a PID controller was designed to counter argue and compare with the FLC to critically analyse the performance and use of fuzzy logic in competition with alternative solutions within active suspension.
