Grid-Friendly Transformers for Renewable Energy Integration

摘要

The current research proposes a detailed approach to the enhancement of renewable energy resources in power systems through grid integrated transformers. With more emphasis being placed in the world today on the use of renewable energy systems, the issue of variability in systems like the photovoltaic and wind power systems has emerged as a major challenge in their integration into the existing utility systems. This research also shows how grid-friendly transformers can help to overcome challenges, such as voltage swings, harmonics, and instability in the grid. These transformers use sophisticated control techniques and optimization methods while enhancing power system dependability and performance. The proposed framework shows that voltage fluctuations are reduced by up to 40%, while the grid stability is improved to allow for over 60% of renewable energy. The simulation analysis indicates the improvement of the transformer efficiency by 5% by lessening energy losses and making the power delivery cheaper. Examples from the case studies show how these transformers can effectively operate and regulate power quality irrespective of fluctuations in the renewable energy feeds. This work is aimed at underlining the significant contribution of grid-friendly transformers to the formation of the future-proof energy infrastructure and increasing its sustainability while enhancing the integration of renewable sources. The proposed solution in this research is practical and relevant for the contemporary power systems that strive for high RE penetration.
