Engaging and researching culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people, and the communities they are part of, are important for understanding how individuals navigate their intersectional identifies and experiences. Hence, this book presents varied methodologies from multiple projects and perspectives, written by authors who research CALD communities across Australia. To begin with, we highlight that this book focuses on methods for researching first generation migrants. We then examine instances that illustrate why certain well-established theoretical frameworks are not appropriate if directly applied for researching CALD migrant communities. Following that, we present a literature review regarding contemporary research methods in Migration Studies. Finally, we offer detailed summaries of chapters in this book.
