Research on a Gantry-Type Large-Scale Steel Flange Plate Multilateral Grinding Collaborative Operation Robot

In this chapter, a design scheme of an intelligent cutter head integrating milling and grinding is proposed, which realizes the simultaneous processing of three sides of the H-shaped steel flange plate. The milling and grinding integrated intelligent cutter head adopts the proportional-integral-derivative cont (PID) adaptive control system method, realizes the depth control of milling through the EMZPS function of the CNC machine tool, and carries out surface adaptive tracking of the H-shaped steel flange plate, so as to realize equal depth cutting and full-edge uninterrupted milling. The grinding head is driven by the air motor for grinding, and the indexing mechanism is used to adjust the center distance height of the two grinding heads to adapt to the flange plates of different thickness. The spring system is used to adjust the axial adjustment to accommodate the deformation of the flange plate height and maintain the same grinding removal. Through the milling and grinding of the H-shaped steel flange plate, not only can it greatly improve the edge quality of the flange plate, lay a good foundation for improving the spraying quality, but also can greatly improve the work efficiency and reduce the labor intensity.
