Reliability Analysis of Motion Accuracy of Multifactor Coupling Planar Three-Link Mechanism

With the continuous development of the machinery manufacturing industry, the movement precision of the mechanism has been valued increasingly. However, due to the general existence of factors such as machining error, joint clearance, wear, and so on, the kinematic accuracy is uncertain. In this chapter, a reliability analysis method of multifactor coupled plane linkage mechanism is proposed, which takes into account of the machining error, joint clearance, deformation, and wear. This method takes the radius and the length as the input random variables, using Lankarani–Nikravesh contact force model to calculate the stress and deformation of each part, and wear depth of joints is calculated by Archard wear model. The planar linkage is used as an analysis object, and the reliability of the kinematic accuracy is analyzed by the multifactor coupling method mentioned above.
