Damage Identification for Plate Structure Via Recursive Modal Identification Variational Mode Decomposition

摘要

In the field of structural health monitoring (SHM) based on vibration signals, accurately identifying structural modal information and locating damage are the core problems. To more accurately identify the damage of structures, a novel modal parameter identification method, recursive modal identification variational mode decomposition (RMIVMD), is developed. This method optimizes the pre-defined challenge of the number of modes by introducing a recursive structure, thus reducing user interaction. Furthermore, this paper proposes a damage detection method for thin plate structures by combining the sum of strain modal shape differences (SSMSD) damage detection index and RMIVMD, which has been tested on an aluminum alloy plate. The experimental results that the damage location was accurately identified verify the feasibility of this method.
