Design and Research of an Automatic Installation and Retrieval Bridge for Air Transport of Large Equipment

A new cargo bridge is designed to meet the difficulty of large equipment entering and exiting transport aircraft cabins. The system adopts mechatronics and hydraulic integration design technology to achieve 180° flipping and folding of the bridge, which can fold the cargo bridge with a length of about 18 m to within 7 m, making the bridge compatible with highway and railway transportation. The bridge raises the aircraft cargo platform to 6° to ensure that large equipment can safely enter the cabin. The attitude conversion technology is used to switch from the working state to the transportation state of the bridge, and the slope of the bridge is adjustable through the lifting of the front and rear support legs, improving the applicability of the bridge. This bridge system has strong load-bearing capacity, high intelligence, fast installation and dismantling speed, good equipment passability, and universality and provides a feasible solution for large equipment entering and exiting transport aircraft cabins.
